The time comes to say good bye to New Zealand. Two month in this beautiful country were hardly enough to explore the diverse nature and magnificent Maori culture all over that land. |

The Poor Knights Islands, 24 kilometres off the coast of the North Island are protected as marine and nature reserve: it's not allowed to set foot on the islands nor to fish in the surrounding waters. But diving is permitted! And so we enjoy the stunning fishlife, magnificent underwater colours and astonishing fauna. What we like most is the variety of colourful nudibranches! |

In Hamilton happens New Zealands biggest Hot Air Ballooning Event. We
arrive just in time for the "Night Glow" on the last evening: just after sunset all the balloons are lit up from inside and glow through the night!
The next morning brings the "Finale Grande": all balloons rise together with the sun: the giant frog, the cup of Nescafé, the Jaguar, the Teddybear, ... |

We leave the South Island. Tonight the ferry takes us back to Wellington.
